DERMATOLOGISTS IN SINGAPORE

Dermatologists or skin specialists are doctors who specialize in the study of skin, nail and hair conditions. Dermatologists also treat cosmetic problems of the skin and diseases affecting the genitalia and the inside of the mouth. In Singapore, dermatologists can also treat sexually transmitted infections.

Common skin conditions treated by dermatologists include skin infections, skin allergy, skin cancers, acne, eczema, psoriasis and hair loss.

To qualify as a Dermatologist in Singapore, doctors need to obtain a post-graduate degree in general internal medicine or paediatrics, undergo dermatology training in a recognized institute and be certified by the Ministry of Health.
