About Dr Lim

Dr Lim Chin Tat is a Singapore Ministry of Health accredited, USA and UK clinical fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in complex joint replacement, robotic-assisted joint replacement and sports surgeries. Prior to joining private practice, Dr Lim was serving as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the National University Hospital, and Assistant Professor, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS).

Training

  • Graduated from National University of Singapore in 2004 with an undergraduate medical degree
  • Trained in orthopaedic surgery and become a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2008
  • Awarded the P Balasubramaniam Young Orthopaedic Investigator’s Award in 2012 for translational research on autologous bone marrow stem cell transplantation for knee cartilage regeneration
  • Conferred degree of Master in Medicine from National University of Singapore in 2012
  • Completed specialist training in orthopaedic surgery in and become a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2014
  • Joined National University Hospital, Singapore in 2014
  • Awarded the prestigious Ministry of Health Scholarshipfor dual advanced fellowship trainings:
  • Clinical fellowship in adult reconstruction and sports surgery at Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford University Hospital Trust, NHS in 2015 under Professor Andrew Price and Professor David Murray
  • Clinical fellowship in adult reconstruction at Stanford Hospital and Clinics, Stanford University, California, United States of America in 2016 under Professor Stuart Goodman and Professor William Maloney
  • Appointed Assistant Professor, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore
  • Accepted as an International Fellow of American College of Surgeons in 2017
